STORES AND PURCHASING DEPARTMENT

TRAINEE STORE PERSON

The successful candidate will, through training, carry out general stores duties, which will include computer inputting, some driving, manual handling and the use of a fork lift truck.  The successful candidate would be required to work both indoors and outdoors within the stores area.

Applicants should possess some basic IT skills, along with good communication skills.  Applicants should also be able to use their own initiative.  Due to the manual handling element, candidates need to be physically fit.

A clean driving licence would be advantageous.  Previous fork lift experience would be preferable, however, training can be provided.

The hours of work are 37 hours per week. After a period of at least 12 months, the post holder will provide out of hours stores cover on a rota basis.
