Annual Report of Water Quality

The company supplies on average 71 ml/d of water to 260,000 customers in Wrexham, Chester and surrounding counties areas.

The company’s water resources consist of two intakes on the River Dee, eight upland impounding reservoirs and two ground water sources. The River Dee provides 80% of the Company’s total requirements.

Water is treated at six treatment works. Treated water is distributed partly by gravity and partly by pumping through 32 service reservoirs and 1,900 km of mains. The area of supply is divided into 18 water supply zones
